Are there restrictions on this? I have a bundle of about 3 in diameter of 3 wire loomex control cables. I would rather see them all through one connector or several large connectors.

There are no rules prohibiting more than one NM cable in a connector.
They must be "secured in place adequately and without injury to the conductors". 12-3024
Some inspectors have their own "opinions" about this.

Ontario Bulletin 12-19-6
Number Of Nonmetallic Sheathed Cables per Outlet Box Knockout
Rule 2-034 (page 16)
The Ontario Electrical Safety Code does not permit more than one nonmetallic sheathed cable in one pryout using the internal clamp. In Canadian Standards Association standard No. C22.2 No 18 (Outlet Boxes, Conduit Boxes, and Fittings), the tests for pullout and voltage withstand after exposure to an elevated temperature are done with one cable per clamp. Use of more than cable per clamp is a misapplication.
The standard does recognize box connectors which accommodate more than one cable and such connectors can be used with more than one cable up to the limit stated by the manufacturer.
